One Day Closer to Home!!!!!!!!!!
Hello Dear Readers,
Todya is a bit of a recovery day for us, thank goodness. Our schedule is delightfully light. Our long awaited Consulate Appointment is really only and appointment for our paperwork. We just sit in the room and wait for a phone call. Then an optional trip to the Pearl and DVD market. Now that's a trip that all genders can get on board for.
Yesterday was a full, but long day. As mentioned, Joy is displaying more of her strong willed personality and fussiness in the last few days, but she gets and "A plus" for her demeanor yesterday. Here she is pictures at her physical.
Just so you know, she does NOT like to get on a scale.
We also vistited the famous, 5th century Temple of the Six Banyon Trees. As an update, Temple still there, trees gone.
While we were there, the babies and families were all blessed by one of the monks. Joy liked the chanting!
We also visited a cool Guangzhou museum. It used to be a families temple, and they donated it to the Govt. shorty after the Communist Revolution. They had some spectacular tapestries, which, of course, we were not aloud to photograph.

How did we get from Chongqing to Guanzhou with a bunch of babies? Well, it was simple. We got on a bus, then got on a flying bus. Which was very exciting for everyone.
Well, almost everyone.
Then, of course, like all seasoned travelers,
we got on another bus and had a fruit roll up
and then checked into our new hotel, the famous White Swan.
It is Tuesday here in China, and we will be leaving this magnificent country to return to our own on Thursday. We can't wait!!!!

Mary and Paul,
I am so excited that you are preparing to return. Although I would imagine it might also be a bit bitter sweet. The more pictures we see of the girls the more Joy reminds Jeff and I of Zoe (who is our slender darling with little sprouts of light brown hair) and Jarrah of Maya (our rounder pumpkin with mounds of long dark hair)...funny huh?!
Miss you guys and can't wait to see the expanded Ruppert family when you return home.
Love, :)
Amy

Okay, so...what woman in her right mind enjoys getting on a scale??? I'd say Joy had every right to be upset.
The pics of her are so darling! She's such a dainty little thing but you can see her personality is far bigger than her physical presence. I am so excited to see her in person. And you guys, too, of course. Sam and I have enjoyed looking at the pics of both girls and reading both blogs. We feel like we're with you!
Come home now.
Love,
a

Celebrate now that your heart of hearts walks about and answers to the name of JOY!
We can't wait to have you home. Miss you so much.
Joy, baby girl. It's ok. Tia Martha hates the scale, too.
