Hi readers,
We can't believe that we are leaving tomorrow!!!! It has been a magical, wonderful, once in a lifetime (although probably not) experience. This will probably be our last blog for the trip, because we'll be on a plane or in the airport for 16? 18? hours or more.
As for the whether this blog will continue when we get home, who knows. Will a blog about our adventures in Encinitas draw as much attention as China???
One of the great things about staying at the extremely baby-friendly White Swan is the Mattel-stocked play room with soft, hard, round geometric, electroning, rolling, tasty toys.
Here, Joy hugs a new friend. In Chinese, he is know as Juang Je, or,"one with big eyes who giggles."
Of course I made that up!
Here, Jarrah practices her walking, and her smiles, with
Mommy. The play room is a great place to see what the babies like
and don't like. They mostly like everything! It's also a great place to
practice our sharing and interaction with other babies

Also, the White Swan, they take group picture on and near the famous Red Couches. Above, you see a very small group photo, which Joy is much better at.
To the left is our entire Travel Group.
Front Row from Left to Right: Sam, Jarrah and David from San Diego; Patricia, Scott and Lydia from Georgia; Kim and Sedona with daddy Michael behind in blue from Albequerque; Matt with mommy Mary holding Cole in orange behind they are from New York; Brian, older brother ("guggah")Michael with mommy Christine holding Matthew behind from Colorado Springs; Back Row from left to Right; Paul, Mary and Joy from San Diego; Grif, Heidi and Maggie from Colorado; Cynthia, Nephew Tyler from Houston.

Bye Bye for Now

Hi Paul and Mary!
I'm so happy to see that Elmo (or as Anton says "Almo") has made it to China, and that Joy loves him too!!! We have plenty of Elmo items for Joy to play with when she comes to Animal Crackers. We also have an Elmo harness that Grandma uses to keep up with Anton. That Elmo---he is everywhere!! ;-)wink!
Have a safe trip home. We can't wait to meet Joy!
Happy Valentine's Day!
Love, Lisa G.

I hope you all have a fantastic trip home and are ready to start your new life together. It will be full of fabulous times - both good & bad. But it will all be worth it as the love you share grows & grows. It looks like you are already enjoying so many of the aspects of a toddler - what a fun time. I am so excited and happy for you all, and you must be so excited to come home and introduce Joy to your world now that you've seen such an amazing part of hers. I can't wait until we get to meet Joy. We'll have to plan a trip down to San Diego real soon.
Love you,
Debbie Way
